Solutions for Nozzle Plugging When Printing

Macan Color Printing Machine, as a top three manufacturing UV flatbed printer in Shenzhen for more than 5years,tell how to maintain the print head and keep the printer longer service life below:

A.Nozzle slightly plugged
Press PAUSE immediately when the nozzles are slightly plugged when printing, move the print head to carriage initial place, press some ink, then use dust-free cloth clean the head printing surface.

B.Nozzle seriously blocked
1.Press PAUSE immediately when the nozzles are seriously blocked when printing, move the print head to carriage initial place.
2.Keep the machine power on, pull up the liquid level signal line from the head control board.
3.Pull up the ink refill tube from the print head, then use glass syringe to take some dedicated cleaning fluid to clean the head. Every time take 40ml cleaning fluid, do 3-4times,every 10 minutes do a time
4.After cleaning, reconnect the tube and liquid level sensor signal lines, then continue printing.

C.If above steps don’t work, then continue below:
1. Take off the print head.
2. Submerge the head bottom 2-3mm in the glass container, use preservative film/plastic wrap to seal the glass container for 1 day, which for dust-free.
3. After one day submergence, re-do above step B.3.
4. Test if the head is ok to print, see the liquid flowing statues from the head, if the liquid is straight (no spray slanting),it means the head is ready to print.

The content of UV lacquer solid  is more than 95% . There is no solvent evaporation while using.           At present, the unit price is higher than the PU and PE. However, uv ink solid content high,  less dosage of paint.if using machine spray, it can also be recycling spray paint to use. So  the cost of uv ink usually is lower 20% to 50% than PU paint.

     4.Convenient construction
UV ink is single component, the using process does not need to match curing agent or diluent ingredients, it is easy to use. As long as it's not exposed to bright light, Unused ink can be sustainable to use. There is no time limited. While traditional PU, PE paint mixed, it need to be used out in several hours of activation period , otherwise it will crosslinking curing.

How Do UV Flatbed Printers Control Ink Thickness

UV Flatbed printers are more and more popular in printing market. But it’s still a new type of printer, many people are not familiar with it. Though compared with traditional printers, UV flatbed printers have many advantages. But many clients are still during the process of study. However,for Maxcan, the quality of UV flatbed printers can be made sure. Recently, there is a client consulting with Maxcan if ink thickness can be adjusted, and how to adjust. So Now we will explain this for our clients.
Usually in China, UV printers are equipped with four colors, and for industrial printers,they are equipped with six or eight colors. To adjust ink thickness depends on 3 aspects. Firstly, it’s related to printing material and material’s color. If the material is soft and the color is deep,it requires to add 20%~40% ink to print. Secondly, it’s related to the printing picture. If the color of picture is deep and the picture is colorful,it requires to add some ink to print. Thirdly, it depends on the special requirements. If requiring the embossed effect, it requires to add the ink thickness.
If our clients want to change the ink thickness,please try the ways as below:
In printing software, our clients can set the percentage of inkjet and PASS quality to change the ink thickness. It can save the ink and enhance the printing quality.
To adjust the ink thickness, there is another way to adjust the percentage of emergence,which is about 0%~200%. If our clients require the printing pictures more exquisite and more colorful, it will require to use percentage of emergence. The higher percentage is better. At the smae time, of course, it will lower the printing speed. So this function needs to be decided by actual demands of clients.
It should be paid attention to that the adjust of ink thickness doesn’t means that thicker ink is better. If it cannot be set probably, the printing effect will not be very nice.
